For more than 50 years, we have been enjoying going to Branchbrook Park, Newark, NJ during the Cherry Blossom Festival. There are more cherry blossom trees in this park than in Washington, D.C. This year we were able to go at the height of the Festival and it was breathtaking. This painting is considered a "small works" painting and is unframed to display on a tabletop easel or can be framed as part of a grouping with some of my other small works paintings. I have been "playing" with gouache and enjoying that. The painting of the sheep is a gouache painting on watercolor paper and is framed with a simple black frame and mat behind glass to protect the painting. Gouache paintings can be mounted on a support panel and framed without glass when protected with a spray varnish. I have decided to continue to use my website and send newsletters as I finish new paintings, or have special news to share with you.
